How do I locate and download
software for Eicon Networks products?

Troubleshooting
download problems
- Please ensure adequate disk space at the
download loacation
- Is your internet connections functioning
properly (try another web site for example)?
- Is your web browser current?
Eicon recommends Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x or higher!
Please visit the Internet
Explorer home page to obtain the latest version.

How to I install the downloaded software?
- Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the
location of the downloaded file
- Double click the downloaded file (self
extracting archive) to extract the necessary files for installation
- Note that no special archiving tools are
required for the above operation
- Please follow the installation instructions
contained in the manual that accompanies your product
Please see the Eicon Networks helpweb if you have any
problems during the installation of your product.
Note: Archives distributed by Eicon Networks are sealed
with a security envelope. If an archive has been modified or tampered with in
any way, the envelope is damaged. You can check the envelope integrety with the
following procedure before you double click the downloaded file:
- Open a DOS box
- Navigate to the location of the downloaded
file
- Type '<filename> -t'
The following is an example of the
procedure:

different message is displayed, you should NOT unpack the archive since it is
NOT a valid archive by Eicon Networks!

Why are some download files
password protected?
Basically, because the software is either not
free, a beta version, or of restricted availability:
- Please contact your Eicon Networks sales
representative to acquire a license if the software is not free
- For information about our Beta Testing
program, see the section below.

What is required to test
beta software?
You have to sign a Beta Agreement in order to
use beta software. Please send your request to the responsible "Product Support Specialist". He will prepare
a Beta Agreement and send it to you via email. The following information is
required from you:
- Which Diva software product do you want to
beta test?
- For what Diva hardware is this beta software
needed?
- Please check the hardware itself or the
packaging if you are not sure
- Describe your hardware configuration (PC,
OS, additional hardware, .)
- What third party applications will be used
with the Diva product?
- Your complete contact information:
- Company name
- Complete name
- Mailing address
- Phone number
- Fax number
- Email address
Please send the required information to
bu-pss@eicon.com and we will decide whether you are eligible for the
beta program.
